Nothing captures an audience like the quest for love, especially if that quest involves one pretty lady and a roomful of hunky husband-wannabes.
But what happened before we were able to set our sights on this season’s Bachelorette Emily Maynard? It seems that we wouldn’t have been able to recognize the lovelorn lady if we knew her before The Bachelor and her engagement to Brad Womack.

Sources say that the widow of NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick went under the knife before appearing on The Bachelor. She wanted to up her chances of hooking the fine Brad Womack. It obviously worked. It seems that Emily got breast implants, veneers, and a nose job before taking part in the reality show.

Emily also knew how to play her cards right. After the dissolution of her engagement to Brad, she was approached to become the new bachelorette. Will the third quest for love be the charm for Emily? The producers of reality show were banking on ‘yes.’ After declaring, she would ‘never’ sign on, Emily obviously did opt to do the show.
“Emily told [producers] she wanted $750,000,” says a source. “They said no way, but she settled for something higher than $100,000, probably around $150,000.” Emily receives financial support from her late fiancé’s parents. Previous bachelorettes Jillian Harris and Ashley Hebert were paid $50,000 and $30,000 respectively.

It’s also reported that Emily recognized that she held the cards and became ‘difficult.’ “She knew she was the star, so she became a bit of a diva,” reveals the source.
“She is painted in this Mother Teresa light. She is a nice girl, but she isn’t as good as she is made out to be.”
So with her new face and paycheck in hand, we wonder who Emily will choose for her third try at love.
