Engaged Miley Cyrus Has a Male Friend, Obviously She Must Be Cheating (PHOTOS)
Miley Cyrus was recently spotted spending time with a male friend. You guys know what that means: she’s cheating. Obviously.
Well, that’s what the tabloids seem to be saying, at least. Photos of Miley sipping drinks and floating on an inflatable raft with her friend Cheyne Thomas, which were released yesterday, sparked a flurry of news articles speculating about the status of Miley’s relationship with Liam Hemsworth.
She’s engaged now, and everybody knows committing to marry someone entails giving up any non-familial relationships you may have with members of the opposite sex. Because marriage is defined by giving up parts of yourself, rather than by publicly committing to share a life with the person you love, apparently.
According to reports, Miley and Cheyne have been friends for a long time, and have been photographed together before. Cheyne is also one of Miley’s assistants.
The fact of the matter is, we don’t know what these pictures mean. Maybe Miley is cheating on Liam. Maybe she isn’t. But a few photos of Miley and her longtime friend and constant companion (who happens to be a dude) hanging out in a pool together, not kissing or touching inappropriately, aren’t enough to make that judgment. How do we know that Liam isn’t aware of their close relationship and gives it his blessing? How do we know that Cheyne is even straight?
So what does Miley think about the rumors? She took to Twitter to deliver a message to the tabloids, stating,
“I love my fiancé & he loves me. All the rest is bull s**t. We get to live a life of happiness no one can take that away from us.
“So now because I am engaged I can’t have a friend of the opposite sex? can’t have a friend help me out while I’m working alllll day? #dumb.”
Amen, Miley.
