Man Wanted a Mani-Pedi, Got Arrested Instead

For many people, getting a mani-pedi is a fun treat after a long day at work. For 43-year-old Charles Swinney of Cleveland, Ohio, getting a mani-pedi was… absolutely imperative.

You see, ‘get a mani-pedi’ was on Swinney’s ‘Bucket List’. While that may sound like one of the most mundane things a person can possibly have on their ‘Bucket List’, Swinney was determined to fulfil his dream. So, he did what any reasonable man would do: knocked back 12 alcoholic beverages, strolled into Asian Nails, threw down $100, and demanded a mani-pedi.

Swinney was promptly informed by employees that the store would be closing soon, and that he’d have to come back the next day. He responded by reaching into a bag that he claimed contained $10,000, peeling off two more hundies (that’s hundred dollar bills, for you squares), and kindly requesting that the staff reconsider his offer.

Nah, I’m just kidding. He freaked out and demanded that the employees help him complete his ‘Bucket List’. He quickly became out of control, and one employee had to call the cops.

Why was Swinney so insistent that he get his nails done right now? Did he have some fancy event to attend first thing the next day? Was he being tracked down by a hitman and trying to live his dreams prior to his inevitable murder? Was he confused by both the store’s name and the meaning of the term ‘mani-pedi’? While we’ll never know for sure, I’d like to suggest that it may have had something to do with the alcoholic beverages.

Hopefully Swinney’s ‘Bucket List’ also included spending a night in jail, because, well, mission accomplished. YOLO, AMIRIGHT?!
