Jack Osbourne Has Multiple Sclerosis

Former reality TV star, fiancé, and new father Jack Osbourne has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Osbourne opened up about his diagnosis in an interview with People magazine in a recent interview.

“While I was waiting for the final results, I got really, really angry,” said the 26-year-old. “The timing was so bad. I’d just had a baby, work was going great – I kept thinking, “Why now?”

Jack discovered that he had the disease after losing 60% of his vision in his right eye. The diagnosis came just two weeks after the birth of his daughter, Pearl Clementine, in April.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. Its affects range from mild to severe, and can include blindness, slurred speech, muscle weakness, and paralysis. There is no known cure for the disease.

Luckily, Jack has plenty of support from his fiancée and family. His sister, Kelly Osbourne, tweeted, “Please support my brother @mrjacko in not only his bravery but honesty!” Kelly Osbourne tweeted. “I love you so much jack & I’m so proud of you!”

Despite the sad news, Jack is trying to stay strong and remain in good spirits.

“Adapt and overcome’ is my new motto,” he says.

Best of luck to Jack as he begins his treatment, which involves daily drug treatments, holistic therapies and lifestyle changes. He was able to beat his addictions. He can beat this too.
