Sam Taylor-Wood Weds Her 22-Year-Old Fiancé Aaron Johnson
Director and artist Sam Taylor-Wood, 45, weds her 22-year-old fiancé, actor Aaron Johnson.
Sam and Aaron share two children together Wylda Rae, 23 months, and Romy Hero, five months. The two met while filming Nowhere Boy, an acclaimed film about John Lennon.
Aaron Johnson, who is 23 years her junior, played Lennon in the biopic. It’s reported that Taylor-Wood wore an Alexander McQueen gown while Johnson looked dashingly in a Tom Ford suit.
Aaron has previously defended his relationship with Sam. ”I’m in love, I’m blissfully content. No one’s getting hurt. We’re in a loving relationship. We’re engaged. Everyone who matters is happy. Exactly which bit of that do I have to defend?” says the actor against the criticism that their 23-year age gap is too big.
”I’ve always been really up for a baby, I knew very early on–we were very much in love, and it was something that I wanted…” reveals Aaron. “It came from me, but maybe it took her to want me to want one. I wanted to be grounded, to surround our kids with love. I love the two girls [Sam's daughters], I love them to bits, I want the family, and I think that’s what she’s always wanted.”
