Bachelorette: Jef Uses a Puppet to Declare His Love to Emily, Makes Her Nervous About Meeting Family
Jef’s date card reads: “Jef, this is your last chance to pull all my heartstrings.”
Their first stop is at a marionette store. Jef is exceptionally talented as a puppetmaster. I mean his puppet Michael Jackson is moon walking and bustin’ out the moves. As they leave the store, Jef runs back to get a mini puppet for Ricki. This pleases Emily of course.
They go to a library to act out a scene with the puppets. Jef is afraid of confessing his love, so he decides to use the puppets to relay his message. So his puppet tells her puppet, “I am 100, a million percent in love with you.” Perhaps he thought it was getting too sentimental because he ends that with, “I wanted to ask if you wanted to get a dog.” Their puppets kiss. I’m not sure if Emily understands his declaration of love but she perfunctorily kisses him.
Jef tells Emily that his parents won’t be in South Carolina, his hometown, but he has a bunch of siblings that will be able to meet her. He also says he’s broken up with someone before because his parents didn’t like her. This makes Emily nervous. On a personal note, what parent would like the Bachelorette after seeing her making out with 20 different men on TV?
