Casey Anthony’s Lawyer Writes Tell-All Book: She’s Not Playing With a Full Deck

“When the time comes, she will have her story to tell.” These were the words of Casey Anthony‘s lawyer Jose Baez. Now it seems that it’s not Anthony who will be telling her story, but Baez myself.

Anthony’s famed lawyer has written a tell-all book called Presumed Guilty, Casey Anthony: The Inside Story. In it, he describes the dramas of the trial and Anthony’s first moments after being released from jail.

He says that authorities should have realized that Anthony inhabited a “fantasy world” and that her lies were not evidence of her guilt but signs of someone with “serious mental health issues.”

Anthony had sent investigators on a wild goose chase, taking them to Universal Studios where she falsely claimed to be an employee. Baez believes that detectives should have realized, ” ‘Wait a minute, we’re not dealing with someone who is playing with a full deck.’ ”

As reported earlier, Anthony claimed that her two-year-old daughter Caylee was taken by a babysitter in June 2008. She waited a month before reporting her as a missing person because she herself wanted to find the child.

Baez argues that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family’s pool while Anthony and her father George were at home. He also claims that she panicked upon finding her daughter’s body and that her father helped her hid Caylee’s remains. In addition, Baez believes that George Anthony sexually abused Casey Anthony leading to her mental instability.

Casey Anthony reacts to her ‘not guilty’ verdict on July 5, 2011.

Is this an issue of finger pointing or the truth? Anthony’s father has denied the allegations that he abused Anthony and that he helped cover up Caylee’s death.

Casey Anthony is now living at an unknown location, and it’s reported that she’s drastically changed her appearance. The 421-paged book will be released on July 3.
