Justin Bieber Hangs Up on Interviewer (AUDIO)
Justin Bieber can take a lot of things in stride, but one thing that Biebs won’t abide is jokes about his mom.
DJ host Mojo, of Mojo in the Morning, learned this the hard way when the 18-year-old pop star hung up on him during a recent interview.
The interview started off on a bad foot when Mojo told the Believe artist that he sounded just like Justin Timberlake.
“Man, that’s crazy ’cause our voices sound nothing alike. I mean, I’m not trying to sound like anyone,” said the clearly annoyed pop star.
“Saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment. … I think if you were to say I heard some Justin Timberlake-esque things in your sound I would take that as a compliment.”
Eventually, the two began discussing boy band One Direction, with Justin explaining, “I mean, definitely somewhat [I am friends with One Direction]. They were in town a while ago and they came over and stuff, but, yeah, they’re good kids.”
Mojo then asked if Bieber ever worried that One Direction’s Harry Styles (who is known for his taste for older women) might try to put the moves on Bieber’s mom, to which the Biebs replied, “I don’t think you should worry about me [and my mom with Harry Styles] — worry about your mom, bro.”
He then abruptly put an end to the interview by hanging up on the DJ.
Justin has always spoken very highly of his mother and clearly cares deeply about her. Mojo should have known better. What do you think? Was Justin out of line?
