Katie Holmes’ Scientology Sessions May Be Used Against Her (PHOTOS)

It looks like it’ll be a hard fight for Katie Holmes. The Dawson’s Creek actress is not only facing off against her husband of nearly six years, but also against the church of Scientology.

There are reports that Katie’s ‘auditing sessions’ from the church will be leaked to the media in a bid to undermine her case for sole custody of 6-year-old Suri. During these sessions, the auditor uses an electropsychometer, or E-meter, that measures changes in electrical resistance. The person being audited holds a metal cylinder in each hand and answers questions asked by the auditor.

Mark “Marty” Rathbun, a formerly influential Scientology member and now its greatest critic, does not doubt that Katie’s sessions will be used against her.

“When I first spoke out about [Scientology] in the summer of 2009, [David] Miscavige [head of the Church of Scientology] directed and published an 80-page magazine that was chock-full of confidential matter I had shared with my church counselors when I was inside,” said Rathbun. “If Katie doesn’t obtain primary custody of Suri, and Cruise continues to do Miscavige’s bidding, she can count on Scientology Inc. indoctrinating Suri to hate her mother.”

Miscavige is not only the head of the church, but one of Cruise’s best friends, standing alongside the two as best man on their wedding day.

It seems that Katie was advised by her father to hold back during these sessions, and she took his advice. “Katie is level headed and extremely smart,” says a source. “She was never completely committed to Scientology, but she participated because she truly was in love with Tom and she knew it meant a lot to him. Her heart just wasn’t in it though, she was always guarded and careful during the auditing sessions with what she revealed.”

Sources say that these sessions are videotaped and audio recorded. We wonder if these sessions will be used against Katie in her bid for sole custody.
