Scientology Ruined Nicole Kidman’s Relationship with Bella and Connor Cruise?

Everyone has been talking about Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, but did we forget about his previous wife, Nicole Kidman?
Nicole was spotted on Tuesday hanging out with her husband Keith Urban in Naples, Florida–the day of Tom’s 50th birthday. Tom’s former wife of 11 years was mum about the whole TomKat debacle. The high-profile couple split in 2001, but very little was known as to why the seemingly happy couple split.
With the unraveling of TomKat, we wonder what went wrong for these two.
Although a source claims that Nicole stays in contact with Isabella, 19, and Connor, 17, they haven’t been photographed together in several years. The two are the adopted children of Tom and Nicole. “Nicole is far away and doesn’t visit L.A. often so there’s naturally going to be that distance.”
The Aussie native lives in Australia and Nashville while the Cruises live in Los Angeles. Distance seems to play in the lack of physical contact between Nicole and her kids, but many speculate that Scientology has something to do it.

“By filing for sole custody of Suri, [Holmes is] making it very clear she’s not going to let what happened with Nicole Kidman happen to her,” says Karen De La Carriere, ex-wife of former Scientology president Heber Jentzsch.
“Tommy told them over and over again their mother was a sociopath, and after a while they believed him,” claims Marty Rathbun, a former Scientology leader. “They had daily sessions with Tommy. I was there. I saw it.”
“Nicole reached out to us because there was really no one else to go to,” says an anti-Scientology activist. “It was very different back then [in 2001], and she didn’t have anyone to go to for help and answers.”

In an interview in 2010, Nicole talked briefly about her relationship with Bella and Connor. ”They live with Tom, which was their choice. I’d love them to live with us, but what can you do?”
