Bachelorette Emily Maynard Eliminates Sean the Burly, Manly Blonde

After watching the private video messages from Arie, Jef and Sean, Emily thinks she knows who she will send home. However, she is still unsure if she’s making the right decision.

Meanwhile, Chris Harrison reminds the men that two of them will be down on one knee to propose to Emily next week. One person will face heartbreak at any minute.

Emily comes out and says that at the beginning, she was able to picture the fairytale ending without knowing who she’d be sharing it with. Now she is able to envision a life with all three of them. She apologizes in advance.

After what seems like five minutes, Emily hands the first rose to Jef. His extreme gesture of gentlemanliness has paid off!

After another five minutes, the second rose goes to Arie.

This means Sean is going home. He looks half emotionless, half devastated.

Sean hugs Arie and Jef good-bye then takes Emily’s hand as he walks out. They sit down on a green bench.  After a quiet stretch of silence, Sean says, “I’m not sure what to say.”

Emily asks what he’s thinking.

Sean: “I mean I feel kind of stupid only because I knew with certainty that I was ready to spend forever with you, and I didn’t see this coming. I think you should know this is going to hurt me.”

Emily: “I wanted it to be you so bad. I’m really going to miss you.”

Sean: “I’m going to miss you more than you know. I care about you and if this is the best for you then you have to do what’s best for you.”

Emily: “Thank you for everything.”

In the SUV back home, Sean cries. Emily cries as she watches him leave.

“When she walked out tonight, in my head I thought, ‘That’s my wife.’ It hurts a lot, a lot more than I can describe,” concludes Sean.
