Kristen Wiig Opens Up About Fabrizio Moretti: “I’m Happier Than I’ve Ever Been”

Funny lady and SNL alumni, Kristen Wiig, 38, opens up in the August issue of Marie Claire. She gushes about Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, 32: “I will say that I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and I feel very lucky right now.”

The two were looking uber cute at Ellie Kemper’s wedding this weekend.

Not only does she have a new man in her life, but Kristen is moving from TV to the silver screen. The Bridesmaids actress had recently left SNL after seven seasons on the sketch comedy show. Kristen revealed that her last show was “very emotional,” but she knew that seven would be her lucky number.

“I know a lot of people probably assume, ‘Oh, she’s leaving because she is going to be doing movies now and things like that,’ which I will be,” she said. “But I just always knew it was going to be seven and that was it.”

The 38-year-old actress admits that age plays a part in her decision to leave. “I think maybe if I were 22, I could see myself staying a little bit, but it just felt like the right time.”

We’re sad to see her go, but I doubt it’ll be long before she has us in stitches again. The busy bee has three film projects on the go: The Secret Life of Walter MittyThe Comedian and Imogene.
