Tanning Addict Gives ‘Tanning Mom’ a Run for Her Money
The 25-year-old has hit the tanning bed every day for the last ten years. In fact, sometimes she even tans twice a day. And that’s not all: after her morning tan, Paytas gets a spray tan to make sure that her color is even. Every. Single. Day.
The extreme tanner spends more than $5,000 a year on the spray tans alone, to say nothing of her time in the tanning bed. She is saving up to buy her own tanning bed.
“I go every morning. It’s my routine. People would say I am almost narcissistic because I really love the way I look when I tan,” explains Paytas.
She says that being tanned gives her confidence, explaining, “I have seen myself pale and I don’t look like myself.”
Paytas was first introduced to indoor tanning by her mother when she was just a teenager. She hasn’t missed a day since.
Trisha is well aware that her habit is putting her at risk of skin cancer, the second most common cancer found in women in their 20’s.
“If you told me that I have skin cancer I don’t think I would stop,” Paytas says. “Scrape it off and keep going.”
