Katie Holmes Denies Suri a Puppy, Tears Ensue (VIDEO)
Call it ‘puppy love’.
Suri Cruise had a rough day (for a six-year-old billionaire) on Saturday when mom Katie Holmes apparently refused to buy her a puppy.
Holmes and Tom Cruise’s daughter, who seems to be accustomed to getting everything she wants, got a lesson straight out of that Rolling Stones song when Katie steered her away from a Yorkshire terrier/Maltese mix at the Citipup pet shop.
The two looked at a few different dogs during their time at the pet store, but Katie apparently decided that it wasn’t time to buy a dog just yet. Despite Suri’s best efforts at employing the ‘puppy dog eyes’, they left the store empty-handed – to Suri’s dismay.
Suri left the shop clutching a stuffed animal and managed to make it to the car before bursting into tears.
The whole thing makes me wonder why Katie brought her to the pet shop in the first place. Everybody knows that putting a six-year-old in that situation can only end in tears! Heck, I can’t even blame Suri. I’d probably cry too.
