Sylvester Stallone Begs for Privacy After the Death of His Son Sage Stallone

Tragic news for the Stallone household. Slyvester Stallone’s 36-year-old son Sage Stallone was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Friday.

“When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain,” Stallone wrote to TMZ. “Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son’s memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha [Czack].”

There has been speculation as to how Sage Stallone died. It was reported that prescription drugs were found near his body, leading some to believe he had overdosed. ”This agonising loss will be felt for the rest of our lives,” added Stallone. “Sage was our first child and the centre of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son’s memory in full left in peace.”

No suicide letter was found, and it has been suggested that his death was accidental. A friend close to Sage recalls the actor/director being out of sorts lately. ”I don’t think he would do anything to take his own life, and there’s absolutely no evidence he did,” says the insider. “But I wonder if his overall distraction could have led him to make a mistake. It’s mistakes that so often lead people taking prescription drugs to make a fatal mistake.”

An autopsy was conducted on Sunday, but toxicology tests are still underway. According to a Los Angeles coroner, these tests usually take several weeks or so.

Many felt that Sage Stallone greatly admired his father, and that he was working to make a name for himself in the film industry. The two have appeared together in 1990′s Rocky V and 1996′s Daylight.
