Fred Willard Caught with Pants Down in XXX Theater
Fred Willard, who you may know from Anchorman, American Wedding, or Everybody Loves Raymond, was arrested for lewd conduct by undercover officers at an adult theatre in Hollywood last night.
The 72-year-old was arrested for lewd conduct around 8:45PM in the Tiki Adult Theatre. He was.. uh.. fully exposed.
Allegedly, officers were doing a ‘routine inspection’ of the theater (they are legally allowed to conduct an inspection at any time) when they discovered the actor/comedian in a rather compromising position. He was booked and released shortly afterward.
A rep for Willard provided no comment.
This is reminiscent of a incident in which children’s entertainer Paul Reubens (better known as Pee-Wee Herman) was caught in a similarly compromising position in 1991. His arrest for lewd conduct essentially ended his career.
I don’t really understand the point of adult theaters. People are expected to watch ‘adult films’ in these theaters and not do exactly what these films are intended to make them do? What’s the point, then? Are people supposed to sit around and discuss the cinematography and pacing of the latest porn parody?
Ah, well. Hopefully Fred learned his lesson: that being ‘GET THE INTERNET’.
