Bachelorette After the Final Rose: Arie Reveals He Regularly Speaks to Jef on the Phone, Talks About Emily
Emily reveals that she did not read the journal Arie left on her doorstep out of respect for him and Jef. (Recap: After getting rejected in Curacao, Arie was so devastated and confused he hastily flew to Charlotte to see Emily but opted to leave his journal so she could read the memoirs he jotted down during his Bachelorette journey.) She didn’t think it would help anything if she read it. She returns the journal to him.
Arie tells her that she should’ve told him at the time of the journal drop-off that he should take it and leave. Emily apologizes.
Emily tells him, “At the end of the day, I just didn’t have the same long-term confidence.” She also adds that if it weren’t for Jef, it would’ve been Arie.
Arie tells Chris Harrison that he still talks to Jef on the phone, and they have a great friendship. He confides in Jef about Emily. This is weird.
After all this, Arie does confirm that he’s in a good place now.
