Bachelorette Finale: Emily and Jef Get Engaged

The next day, Emily wakes up with a heart overflowing with love. She is happy that she gets to spend the rest of her life with Ricki and Jef.

“I’ve always wanted a guy with a bit of an edge. Jef has that, but he’s also the kindest person,” she comments about her future husband.

Jef is at his obligatory meeting with Neil Lane and chooses a gorgeous circular rock. Afterward, he walks along the beach wearing bright blue pants.

Emily says she is excited about Jef, but she isn’t sure if she wants to be engaged at the end of all this. Brad Womack pretty much scarred her for life. She’s permanently unsure about everything at all times.

Emily says she’s scared that she won’t make the right decision, or it will end up “like it did last time.”

Emily tells Jef: “It’s been a long road, but when I look back on every single moment even the lowest, it was all worth it because I can stand here and say that you’re everything I’ve been looking for. You’re my soulmate. I love you so much. I knew you were the one for me, so much so that you were the only one who got to meet Ricki.”

Jef is elated but maintains his uber-calm demeanor. He has a very long-winded response that I wasn’t able to transcribe because I was too busy still feeling kinda bad for Arie. His spiel, however, involves a declaration of love and more.

Jef gets on one knee and proposes. Emily says yes (after a disturbingly long pause).
