Kellie Pickler Strips Down to Salute Military in Maxim
Kellie Pickler is showing her patriotism – and a lot of skin! In Maxim’s new Salute to the Military Issue, the American Idol country star shows off her bod in military-inspired lingerie looks from Jean Paul Gaultier, Prada and Hervé Léger.
In the issue, which hits shelves July 31, Kellie also dishes about her tattos. “My grandmother would be mortified if she knew I had these,” Kellie says. “She’s passed away now, but she would say, ‘Tattoos are the devil!’ So my first tattoo, of course, was my grandma’s name. I also have stars on my left arm for my USO tours, but I’m missing two.”
She also talked about country girls. “We might be [trouble], but we can also con our way out of it,” she jokes. “A country girl can talk her way out of a ticket. Not that I’ve ever been pulled over…”
What do you think of Kellie’s look? I like the retro pinup styles, but the army green is a bit ugly.
Kelly also recently talked with EW about splitting from her label, Sony Music Nashville. “When my album came out, I didn’t even have a song out on the radio. Nobody does that,” she explained, adding that “the process was hell. We couldn’t agree on songs. The thing is, my life is a country song. I don’t need to be manufactured, and I don’t need anyone to tell me what to say or what to sing.”
