Rupert Sanders Apologizes for Cheating with Kristen Stewart

It’s apology day today. First Kristen, and now Rupert Sanders. The 41-year-old director of Snow White and the Huntsman released a statement apologizing for his tryst with Kristen Stewart, 22.

“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family,” Sanders tells People magazine. “My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”

Sanders is married to model-actress Liberty Ross, 33, with whom he has two children, 7 and 5 years of age. Stewart has been in a relationship with fellow Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, 26, since they met on the vampire flick four years ago.

Sanders and Stewart worked together on the set of Snow White and Ross played Stewart’s mother in the adaptation of the fairytale classic. Ross tweeted this Marilyn Monroe quote yesterday before deactivating her account: ”sometimes bad things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

Sanders’ apology comes on the heels of Stewart’s public statement. “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

We wonder if sorry will be enough for Pattinson and Ross.
