Bob Ross Remix is Cute, Inspiring (VIDEO)
Melodysheep and the folks from PBS who brought you the Fred Rogers remix are back with a new offering: ‘Let’s Build a Happy Little Cloud’, a remix featuring everyone’s favorite painter, Bob Ross.
The video showcases clips from Ross’s famous PBS show, The Joy of Painting, along with inspiring quotes about how everyone can paint if they truly believe in themselves. It does a great job of really making you feel Bob’s passion for painting as he creates happy little trees and happy little clouds.
While Bob Ross passed away in 1995, he has clearly not been forgotten. Viewers of The Joy of Painting fell in love with Bob’s sweet nature and love of painting. His show ran from 1983 to 1994, and is still sometimes aired today.
This video was created as a part of PBS’s ‘PBS Icons Remixed’ series, which has PBS teaming up with mashup artist John D. Boswell (aka Melodysheep) to bring famous PBS shows to a new generation by creating remixed videos for them. The first video in the series was called ‘Garden of Your Mind’, and honored Mr. Rogers. It was a viral success, earning almost 6 million views on YouTube.
