Liberty Ross Forbids Rupert Sanders from Directing ‘Snow White’ Sequel
As we reported a few days ago, it’s starting to look more likely that Liberty Ross won’t be kicking philandering husband Rupert Sanders to the curb for cheating on her with Kristen Stewart. But if the couple is to stay together, Rupert will be facing some conditions – conditions that could make it very difficult for him to cash in on the success of his directorial debut.
According to reports, while Liberty may be willing to forgive Rupert, she has decreed that he is never to work with Kristen again. Given that he cheated on her, his wife of ten years with whom he has two children, this seems like a pretty reasonable request.
It’s rumored that Universal is considering a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman after the huge success of the first one. While Kristen is contractually obligated to star in a sequel, Rupert is more easily replaceable. Therefore, it seems likely that if there is to be a sequel to Snow White, Rupert won’t be at the helm.
“Rupert is obviously disappointed because Snow White and the Huntsman was his directorial debut, and he had hoped on building on that with a follow-up after some decent reviews,” a source told RadarOnline.
