Kristen Stewart Banned from Robert Pattinson’s ‘Cosmopolis’ Premiere
After Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s very public breakup following the news that she cheated on him with director Rupert Sanders, rumors were flying that Pattinson wouldn’t be attending the premiere of his new flick, Cosmopolis. Many speculated that Pattinson would be too heartbroken to walk the red carpet at the August 13th premiere in NYC.
However, R-Pattz’s rep quickly put those rumors to rest, confirming to People that, “Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting. No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate.”
So, while it seems that Robert will be making his first public appearance since the breakup as planned, there’s one person who definitely won’t be in attendance: Kristen.
According to reports, K-Stew is banned from attending the premiere, and security has been told not to allow her on the red carpet or to the after party. The reasoning behind the ban is that Robert doesn’t want any drama from the scandal to overshadow the film.
“The decision was made because Robert just doesn’t want to see her. There were fears that she could use it as a chance to talk to him in person and that sort of drama is not wanted at the premiere. There’s also the fact that if she did attend, it would distract from the film premiere itself and the movie bosses are not interested in that sort of publicity,” a source told RadarOnline.
Given the fact that the epic, sparkly breakup is all the media is talking about these days, somehow I don’t think that’s going to work out as planned.
