Olympic Gymnast Nastia Liukin: The New Face for TIGI
Nastia Liukin sits on the sidelines at this year’s Olympics, watching Team USA win gold medals in women’s gymnastics.
Liukin did not qualify for this year’s London Summer Olympics, but cheered on her fellow gymnasts. In 2008, she won five gold metals at the Bejing Olympics. Although her look of disappointment was apparent at this year’s qualifying rounds, the Olympian will now become the face of TIGI cosmetics.
TIGI, an international hair and beauty company, thought Liukin was the best candidate. The 22-year-old athlete has been praised for her ”undeniable beauty, style and passion for life make her a perfect personality for our brands.”
Liukin will be a part of the company’s advertising campaign, social media marketing, and will become the company’s spokesperson.
No stranger to profitable business ventures and public appearances, Liukin has worked with GK Elite to promote her own Gold Medal Collection of gymnastics leotards, and has made a cameo on Gossip Girls.
