Ann Curry and Matt Lauer’s Reunion: Awkward, So Awkward (VIDEO)
Anny Curry and Matt Lauer’s reunion on Thursday has been described as ‘awkward,’ ‘uneasy,’ and ‘cool.’ The former co-hosts had their first on-screen segment together since Curry’s boot from NBC’s Today show.
NBC is broadcasting from the Olympics in London, and Curry was there to introduce a profile of Olympic photographer Adam Petty.
“Ann, nice to see you,” Lauer said to Curry, to which she responded, “Matt, good morning, good morning everybody” and then moved right into her piece. Icy. Really, can we blame her?
Some have described Curry’s performance as “reserved, non-compliant, honest” and downright “stellar.”
At the end of the segment Lauer said, ”Pretty cool. Ann, good to see you.” To which Curry did not return the sentiment.
There doesn’t seem to be any love lost between the two, and Curry isn’t about to fake it for the audience.
