Robert Pattinson Gets Break-Up Ice Cream From Jon Stewart (VIDEO)
Robert Pattinson sat down for his first interview since the whole Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders debacle.
The Daily Show host Jon Stewart got right down to business and cheekily asked, “What have you been up to?”
Even with the first question, Pattinson seemed to be thrown off a bit and said, ”God, I thought we already prepared this. I had a joke prepared!” he said. “I was all set up and ready to go.”
Stewart immediately broke the ice by busting out two tubs of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. The best solution for a broken heart. “We’re just a couple of gals talking,” quipped Stewart.

Pattinson didn’t do much talking, but he held his own.
“Are you alright?” asked Stewart at one point. To which Pattinson took the question in stride.
“This is the weird thing about these interviews,” Rob began. “My problem in life is that I’m cheap and I didn’t hire a publicist. At every awkward interview, normally actors get these things scripted…” He then quickly added, “I’m gonna hire a publicist.”
The 26-year-old has been in hiding since the break-up, and was reportedly staying at his former co-star Reese Witherspoon’s Californian ranch.
All in all, he seemed pretty comfortable throughout the interview, and Jon Stewart had only well wishes for him.
“When you are young and you break up, it’s powerful and it feels like the world is ending,” said Stewart. “Here’s my wish for you,” added the Daily Show host, ”that you get to handle your business in private, in your personal life, and I wish you all the best.” Jon Stewart is one class act.
Pattinson acknowledged Stewart’s sentiments and thanked fans for their support for his forthcoming movie Cosmopolis, which hits theaters on Friday August 17.
