Taylor Swift Buys Mansion Next to Kennedys
Taylor Swift sure knows how to keep tabs on her boyfriend. The 22-year-old country crooner has bought a mansion right next to boyfriend Conor Kennedy’s family estate.
The singer is obviously quite happy in her relationship with the 18-year-old Kennedy, since she dropped $4.9 million on a seven bedroom, 4,000-square-foot pad next to the Kennedys’ Cape Cod compound. Seems a little quick for a relationship that’s only a few months old, but then again, $5 million is probably chump change for a megastar like Taylor. Still, it does evoke the image of a certain someone.
Luckily, Taylor has already been accepted into the Kennedy clan. Recently, Rory Kennedy (Conor’s aunt) had this to say about the singer:
“She’s awesome. She’s a great friend of all of ours.”
Taylor has also just announced that she will be releasing her fourth studio album, titled Red, on October 22nd. She explains the meaning behind the album title thusly:
“They’re all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. All those emotions spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that, in my mind all those emotions are red. There’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings.”
Which leads me to wonder…what’s going to happen to Taylor’s music if this whole Kennedy thing goes long-term? She’s built her career on heartbreak, and something tells me that her fans aren’t going to be too stoked about a single called I Bought a 5 Million Dollar House Next to My Boyfriend’s.
