Robert Pattinson Asked About Kristen Stewart, Talks About Cereal Instead
Robert Pattinson visited Good Morning America today, and of course, he was asked about the elephant in the room–Kristen Stewart.
The host asked Rob if he had anything to say about his personal life and what (if anything) he had to say to his fans.
Rob stammered, but remained mum about Stewart, diverting back to the box of cereal that the host had given him. The treat was more appropriate to the segment’s early morning time slot, and paid homage to the break-up ice cream that Jon Stewart shared with Pattinson.
What’s next? A gift basket of romantic comedies? A cup of chamomile tea?
Rob did have this to say, “I’ve never been interested in trying to sell my personal life and that’s really the only reason people bring it up. The reason you go on to TV is to promote movies. That’s the only way to do it.”
Pattinson mainly talked about his new flick Cosmopolis where he plays a 28-year-old multibillionaire. He says he really relates to the character of Eric Packer.
“I’ve always found this connection with the idea of finding it difficult to live in the present,” he said. “I always felt I was living in the future and as soon as I was reading that, that’s a lot of what Eric Packer’s problem is, he feels like he’s living in the future. And he’s not being able to totally feel. There’s a lot of similarities to an actor’s life. It’s strange.”
True, when your present is full of quizzical glances and pity pats on the back, it must be a relief to think about the future where Kristen’s cheating scandal won’t be on everyone’s minds.
Cosmopolis hits theaters on August 17.
