Scottish Sailor Pretty Sure that Fuzzy, Unidentifiable Object is Loch Ness Monster (PHOTO)

George Edwards is a Scottish sailor who has spent the past twenty-six years scouring the water for the mythical Loch Ness monster. He has a special boat called Nessie Hunter that he takes out to the loch daily, searching for a creature that was first ‘spotted’ in 565 CE. Now, he thinks he may have found it – and he’s got a picture to prove it.

There are a number of pictures purporting to be of ‘Nessie’, and most of them are grainy, low quality shots or proven fakes. Edwards’ shot, shown above, is of fair quality and hasn’t been proven to be a hoax. However, the fact remains that it’s impossible to tell whether the object shown in the photo is a mythical sea beast or a rock, floating piece of wood, or other marine animal. It’s obvious which answer seems more likely.

Some people are more convinced than this cynic.

“I sent the picture to a friend in the U.S. He is retired, but used to have a very interesting job. I’m not allowed to say what. Let’s just say, he has friends in the military,” George told the Daily Mail. “As far as he is concerned, there’s no doubt. I can’t say more than that.”

What do you think? Does this picture show a real Loch Ness monster, or is this one legend we should put to rest for good?
