Shia LaBeouf has a Gross Beard, is Totally Over Hollywood
Why is Shia LaBeouf disillusioned with big-budget Hollywood flicks? Is it because he’s still bitter over that whole Megan Fox thing? Or did he just really enjoy waving his penis around and crying in that Sigur Rós video?
Perhaps. But it’s also because he’s a super serious artiste now.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, LaBeouf explained that he’s unlikely to appear in a big-budget Hollywood blockbuster in the near future – or maybe ever again.
“I’m done,” said the 26-year-old actor. “There’s no room for being a visionary in the studio system. It literally cannot exist.”
Now that The Beef has raked in all of that sweet Transformers money, he’s ready to grow a ponytail and a scraggly beard and make his way in the world of indie films. He’ll appear in theaters in the crime Western Lawless later this month. On the process of making that film, LaBeouf said:
“These dudes are a miracle. They give you the money, and they trust you… (They don’t) give you the money, then get on a plane and come to the set and stick a finger up your a** and chase you around for five months.”
