98 Degrees Getting Back Together!
My every wish and every dream somehow became reality… According to Celebuzz, 90s boyband 98 Degrees is getting back together! On The TODAY Show this morning, Nick Lachey said that the band has been clocking some studio time recording music, and that they have new projects in the works.
The band, which also includes Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre, did a gig on August 18th in Hershey, PA – and admitted that it felt good to be back on stage. But will they give us just one more night? Jeff first ignited rumors of a reunion back in February; in March, the band’s website was updated for the first time in 10 years.
98 Degrees has always been the underdog of boybands, freezing in the shadows of NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys. Can they come back and become even bigger? Their old fans are now in their 20s and 30s and perhaps ready for some nostalgia. But today’s One Direction and Bieber fans are probably not going to go cray-cray for a bunch of near-40 year-olds.
Still, Nick tweeted this morning that he was “psyched to perform today!!”
Nothing like a reunion that no one is asking for…
