Harvey Weinstein Extortion and Murder Plot Unveiled!
Life has turned into a movie for producer Harvey Weinstein. According to ABC News, aspiring actor Vivek Shah, 25, allegedly asked Harvey for $4 million dollars to leave him and his family alone.
Apparently, Harvey wasn’t Vivek’s only target; he also sent similar letters to four other millionaires: a coal magnate, an oil executive and the owner of an NHL team. “Each of these letters contained a threat to kill named members of the recipient’s family unless a large sum of money was wired to an offshore bank account,” said Postal Inspector Joshua Mehall. Vivek was arrested at his parents’ home in Chicago on Aug. 10; he could face up to 20 years in prison.
Vivek has had small parts in Bones and Outsourced. Look, we know the audition trail is tough – but extortion and death threats aren’t the answer!
ABC hilariously notes that Vivek’s Facebook profile features him standing alongside Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, Zach Galifianakis and other famous actors. Something tells me they won’t be eager to pose with him in the future…
