Taylor Swift Did Crash the Kennedy Wedding, According to Kathie Lee Gifford
Did Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy crash the nuptials of Kyle Kennedy and Liam Kerry? According to Kathie Lee Gifford, Swift was not a welcome guest.
Kathie Lee Gifford, 59, is stepmom to Victoria Gifford Kennedy, who is the irate mother of Kyle Kennedy. (Are you with me here? Gifford is mom to the bride’s mom. Kyle is Gifford’s granddaughter by marriage.)
“The truth is, because I was there, Vicki’s account is accurate,” says Gifford. She also confirms that Swift was asked to leave “twice.” However, Gifford was unaware of the wedding drama until she spoke to her stepdaughter. ”I’m not sure [Taylor] didn’t know she was invited,” added the TV host.
Conor Kennedy had reportedly texted Victoria an hour before the wedding, asking to come after not RSVP’ing. Huge wedding faux pas. Conor has been Swift’s beau for the last month and a half.
“This is my daughter’s day and I would appreciate it if you would not come,” Vicki reportedly said to the couple. Yet Swift’s rep say that Taylor was more than welcome: ”Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there.”
Victoria Gifford Kennedy maintains that she wanted the day to be focused on Kyle Kennedy and Liam Kerry, and not on the Grammy award winning singer.
