Elisha Cuthbert Engaged to Dion Phaneuf!
Elisha Cuthbert is engaged to NHL player Dion Phaneuf! The 29 year-old Happy Endings actress tweeted about the news: “Happily, happily, happily, happily engaged!! This has been the most amazing weekend ever.”
Elisha and Dion, who have been dating since May 2008, held an engagement party Sunday at the New Glasgow Lobster restaurant on Prince Edward Island, Canada. The restaurant confirmed Elisha’s news via Twitter also: “Last night we had the privilege of hosting a surprise #engagement party for #dionphaneuf and #elishacuthbert. Congrats to them both.”
Elisha certainly has a type; she previously dated two other NHL stars, Sean Avery and Mike Komisarek. Sean was actually so bitter about Elisha’s moving on to Dion that he made a comment about “sloppy seconds” and got suspended from the NHL. (Classy!)
“It’s the first real, healthy relationship of my life,” Elisha told Women’s Health about Dion. “I think you learn something from every relationship. But I’ve spent too much time with people who weren’t worth spending that much time with.”
Congrats, Elisha!! We can’t wait for Happy Endings season 3 to premiere Tues, Oct 23 @ 9 pm on ABC!
