World’s Richest Woman Thinks Poor People Should Just Work Harder

“You jelly?”

Why can’t the poors stop being so darn poor and just, like, make more money already? It turns out that the answer to this question is simpler than we could’ve imagined – and who better to answer it than the world’s richest woman?

Gina Rinehart, a mining magnate heiress with a fortune of $30.1 billion, recently stepped up to defend the world’s most persecuted and misunderstood people – the obscenely wealthy – from the ire of the “jealous poor”. In her column in Australian Resources and Investment magazine, the richest woman in the world explained that getting rich is actually pretty easy. All you have to do is stop being so lazy!

“If you’re jealous of those with more money, don’t just sit there and complain; do something to make more money yourself – spend less time drinking, or smoking and socialising, and more time working,” wrote Rinehart.

Of course! It’s so easy! If we all just got off our asses and did an honest day’s work for a change, we’d all have Scrooge McDuck-style swimming pools full of money just like Gina. Or, we could just inherit our wealth from our mining mogul daddies, use that massive wealth to make even more wealth for ourselves, and never have to work a day in our lives – just like Gina.

“There is no monopoly on becoming a millionaire,” says Gina. Which is true, but it certainly helps to have the Monopoly guy for a dad.
