Britney Spears Denies ‘X-Factor’ Walkouts

X-Factor and The Voice are now pitted head to head. With the stakes at its highest, Britney Spears and Simon Cowell are now denying the rumors that Britney Spears walked out during auditions.

Spears reportedly walked out during auditions because of her alleged issues with ADHD. She would become too distracted to continue with the auditions. Now it seems that both Cowell and Spears are denying that this behavior ever occurred.

According to Examiner, Spears is blaming the walkouts on Demi Lovato, saying that the breaks were Lovato’s idea. Another claim that people find hard to believe: Britney Spears is the “meanest” and “toughest” judge on the panel. Cowell and Spears exaggerating to garner viewership? Who would’ve thought…

This stirring up of controversy is all too familiar in reality/talent shows. Another factor that may be affecting the show’s premiere on Wednesday is their NBC competitor, The Voice.

NBC announced that they’re expanding The Voice‘s first week back. The show will not only run Monday and Tuesday, but they’ve added a third day — Wednesday, which coincides with X-Factor‘s premiere.

“I think it’s mean-spirited and I hope and I pray that it backfires on them, because it’s one of the best shows we’ve ever made,” Cowell said. He added that having three days’ worth of The Voice “too much” and viewers will choose X-Factor.”

What show will you pick this Wednesday?
