Chris Brown Gets Neck Tattoo of Beaten Woman That Looks Like Rihanna
Chris Brown has a new neck tattoo – and it looks a lot like the photo of Rihanna that emerged after Chris assaulted her in 2009. The Daily Mail reports that Chris unveiled the new tat at a party in Las Vegas on September 1.
Chris claims that the tattoo is not a picture of Rihanna; sources close to him say that “it’s a random woman.”
Meanwhile, Chris and Rihanna ignited rumors that they might be getting back together when they were seen hugging and kissing at the MTV Video Music Awards. Rihanna recently told Oprah that Chris was “the love of my life” and that they have a “very close friendship.” She said of the 2009 incident: “I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help,” adding: “The main thing for me is that he is at peace. I’m not at peace if he is unhappy or he is still lonely. I care. It actually matters that he finds peace.”
Well, maybe Chris finds peace in hideous, offensive neck tattoos. If it’s not Rihanna, what’s the point of this tattoo? Does he want other people to see what he’s capable of? Since it’s on his neck, it’s not like he can see it all the time (unless he looks in a mirror). Is it supposed to be a haunting a reminder of his past? A cautionary tale? I just can’t see how it’s in good taste.
I do have to give Chris credit for trying to change his image with charity work; last week he joined Jenesse Youth Advocates, an organization that helps the children of domestic abuse.
What do you think of Chris’ new neck tattoo?
