Miley Cyrus Posts Cryptic Tweets, Insists Nothing’s Wrong

Believe it or not, even wealthy megastars with millions of fans, heartthrob fiancés, and endless opportunities at their disposal get lonely and self-pitying sometimes. But what’s a famous pop star to do when all she wants is for a bunch of strangers to tell her how wonderful she is?

Why, the same thing as that insufferable girl you went to high school with and still have on your Facebook for some reason does, of course – she throws herself a Social Media Pity Party! Wow, celebrities really are just like us.

This was the strategy employed by everyone’s favorite punk rock girl, Miley Cyrus, when she was feeling attention-starved last night. Miley, who is really not doing herself any favors if she wants the world to think she’s as mature as she thinks she is, began the evening by blasting off the following tweet to her followers:

“Ever feel like you want just…. something more. not sure what exactly… passion perhaps?”

Oh dear. Poor Miley. Luckily, she racked up tons of favorites, retweets, and encouraging replies to her tweet. So, was her hunger for attention satisfied?

“sometimes i feel like i love everyone more than they love me,” she continued. “hatttte that feeling.”

Hmm. This is beginning to sound suspiciously like trouble is brewing in paradise.

“Thought of the day: maybe it’s not that they love you less, they just love you the most they are capable of loving.”

Such a deep thinker, that Miley. When concerned fans began to wonder if Miley might be experiencing cold feet about the wedding, she quickly clarified that nothing is wrong between her and Liam, and that her Social Media Pity Party was “just thoughts”. Still, they were probably thoughts that didn’t need to be shared with the world.

Confidential to Miley: next time you’re feeling all woe-is-me about your perfect life, manage your feelings like a gossip blogger does – with a stiff drink and a healthy dose of cognitive dissonance.
