Shaun White Gets Arrested, Apologizes for “Poor Behavior”
Shaun White says he’s sorry for partying too hard, which resulted in his arrest Sunday night. According to People Magazine, the 26 year-old Olympic gold medalist posted an apology on his Facebook page: “I want to apologize for the unwise choices I made over the weekend and for any inconvenience it caused my family, friends, business partners, the hotel and their guests,” he wrote. “I was celebrating a happy occasion with a ton of family and friends and got carried away. I’m truly sorry for my poor behavior.” He has not Tweeted about the incident.
Shaun was in Nashville for his friend Patrick Carney’s wedding. His “unwise choices” include pulling a hotel fire alarm (causing evacuations) and feeling the scene while being pursued by a citizen who had alerted police. If you’re wondering about the big bruise on Shaun White’s mugshot (at right), he fell and hit his head on a fence during the chase. After, he was arrested and also transported to a hospital and released. Police say he was extremely intoxicated.
An insider says that Shaun did NOT trash his hotel room or spend time in jail. Maybe so, but clearly some stuff did go down!
I guess Shaun has been bored since the 2010 Olympics? Here’s hoping the negative press won’t affect his many endorsement deals.
