Are Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes Engaged?
Ryan Gosling is ready to pop the question to girlfriend Eva Mendes – or at least that’s what the sources tell Ok! Magazine. The tabloid reports that the 31 year-old actor is ready to propose to 38 year-old Eva, whom he met on the set of The Place Beyond The Pines (the pair was first spotted holding hands in September 2011).
An insider says that Ryan is “head over heels” for Eva – but she has long said that she doesn’t want to tie the knot. “It’s something Eva has balked at in the past, but Ryan has a charming way of helping her see a different kind of future,” the source said. “She’s getting on board with the idea of marriage.”
Eva told Marie Claire in February that Ryan is “your dream costar.” She added: “I have never felt so creatively satisfied on a film. He’s amazing.” In the same interview, she refused to get personal; “I’m not gonna budge,” she said. “I feel uncomfortable talking about it. It’s too personal.” When asked about marriage (in general), she said, “Those are such boring topics to me. I am not that girl. I don’t like talking about things that I want in the future because I feel by verbalizing such things, they won’t come true.”
Maybe she DOES want marriage to come true for her? Ryan and Eva seem more serious than ever; in early June, she attended his mother’s graduation in Ontario, Canada. Other tabloid reports claim that Eva wants a kid, but Ryan thinks they should get married first – and that he’s already begun shopping for a ring.
