Chick-fil-A wants you to forget about their anti-gay rhetoric, and eat some chicken, even the gays; they can eat some deep-fried poultry too.
After the backlash they received for supporting ”the biblical definition of the family unit,” and their advocacy of anti-gay organizations, they’ve agreed to stop donating to organizations like Focus on the Family.
This was confirmed in a press release from the LGBT advocacy group The Civil Rights Agenda: “In meetings, the company executives clarified that they will no longer give to anti-gay organizations, such as Focus on the Family and the National Organization for Marriage.”
Chick-fil-A will also be more stringent in choosing their donation recipients: “The WinShape Foundations is now taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas.”
The chicken restaurant reiterated that it has a “65-year history of providing hospitality for all people” . . . “regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender.”
Not donating to organizations that are classified as hate groups would be a good first step. Heart disease for everybody! Hmmm…
