Lady Gaga Smokes Weed On Stage (VIDEO)
Lady Gaga is known for two things: her catchy pop songs, and her controversial antics. The star gave fans in Amsterdam a bit of both at a recent concert when she lit up a joint on stage.
Gaga was performing at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam when a concertgoer handed her a joint. Gaga didn’t waste any time before deciding to take advantage of marijuana’s decriminalized status in the Netherlands.
“Holland, is it real? Don’t tease me,” asked the singer. “Oh, it’s real.” Gaga then took a few hits and passed the joint off to another fan.
The 26-year-old pop star then took the opportunity to extoll the virtues of pot, telling audiences that it’s a “medical wonder”, and that it’s helped her cut down on her drinking significantly.
“It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music,” she told the eager crowd.
While Gaga, real name Stephanie Germanotta, has admitted to smoking pot in the past, this is the first time she’s done it in public. Public reaction has been mixed. While some think Gaga’s pot-smoking antics are no big deal, others feel that she’s a bad role model, and worse. This has inevitably led to plenty of arguments in comments sections of articles about the incident, one of which (no joke) featured the phrase “doing the weed”.
