Shakira is Pregnant! (VIDEO)

Shakira has got some great news! Not only is she set to be a judge on the next season of The Voice, the 35-year-old singer is also expecting her first child with boyfriend Gerard Pique.

The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer confirmed on her website yesterday that she and 25-year-old Gerard “are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby.” She also announced that because of her impending bundle of joy, she will also be postponing “all promotional activities planned over the next few days”. So if you were hoping to catch her at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, you’re out of luck.

Not much more information was given, but we’ll cut Shakira some slack on this one – after all, she’s probably way too overjoyed to care about giving us the details right now!

Gerard and Shakira have been dating since 2010, when he was featured in one of her music videos. They went public with the relationship last year when Shakira posted a photo of the two of them on her Facebook and Twitter, along with the caption “I present to you my sunshine,” in Spanish.

It looks like Shakira will have another sunshine very soon. Congrats, Shakira and Gerard!
