Chris Brown is ‘On The Pot’
Surprise, surprise, Chris Brown tested positive for marijuana use while on probation. The Grammy Award winner is ‘on the pot.’ (This is what imagine soccer moms to whisper to one another.)
Brown was in court Monday morning to sort through some potential probation violations: his positive weed test, travel violations, and if he actually completed his community service.
Judge Schnegg called his community service record “somewhat cryptic.” Brown’s lawyers say he completed 1,602 hours of community service where he picked up trash, washed cars, and tended to horse stables.
After testing positive for marijuana use in June, Brown produced a medicinal marijuana prescription. The R&B singer is currently in his third year of a five-year probation. Brown had been arrested in 2009 for assaulting his girlfriend at the time, Rihanna.
Before the hearing, Rihanna tweeted some words of encouragement to the man who beat her: “@chrisbrown I’m praying for you and wishing u the best today!”
Judge Schnegg warned Brown that although his weed use may be technically legal, he should be mindful of his public image: “… a lot of people look up to you, a lot of kids. What you do and what you say impacts a lot of people.”
A hearing has been scheduled in November to review his case.
