Anne Hathaway Married; Wedding Gown Revealed! (PHOTOS)
Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman tied the knot in Big Sur, California this weekend. According to People, more than 150 guests attended the nature-themed nuptials, which began with a rehearsal dinner at the Ventana Inn and Spa on Friday. On Saturday, the couple married at a private estate nearby.
But I know what you really want to know about: THE DRESS! Anne, 29, wore custom-designed gown from Valentino. Unlike the usual strapless-sweetheart wedding gown, Anne chose a high neckline with off-the-shoulder sleeves. Photos are a bit fuzzy, but her gown appears to have a fitted bodice with a drop-waist A-line full skirt (perhaps tulle?) featuring lace detail.
Anne has worn a lot of Valentino gowns in the past, including at the 2011 Oscars, which she hosted. “She’s a very good friend of mine,” the designer said. “She’s like my daughter!”
Anne isn’t the only celeb who opted for a conservative wedding dress style; Natalie Portman also chose a modest gown for her August wedding.
What do you think of Anne’s dress? I’m loving the shape – she can definitely pull off the off-the-shoulder look. But I’m not sure about that giant thing on her head…
