Dancing With The Stars: Apolo Ohno Gets Gold Medal From Len Goodman
Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower are up next. Helio makes Chelsie go on the race track and she screams bloody murder the entire time. Chelsie later comments that dancing is much eaiser than racing. For their dance, they’re grooving to the jive. By the end of their performance, Helio has red lipstick kisses all over his face (to the point of creepiness).
Carrie Ann thinks they were right on it; Len commends Helio for his great smile but thinks he was a bit overenthusiastic at times; Bruno nitpicks at some lazy footwork.
Carrie Ann gives them an 8, and the other two give them 7.5s.
Apolo Ohno and Karina Smirnoff are very pumped up about making it up the scoreboard. Apolo doesn’t think being anywhere outside of the podium (aka not in the top 3) is acceptable. They take on the quick step.
Len points at Apolo and pointedly states, “Gold medal.” He is impressed by the speed and control. Bruno remarks on his incredible footwork. Carrie Ann thinks Apolo was “truly driving the dance.”
Carrie Ann gives them 8.5 and the other two give them 8s.
