Pierre the Office Cat Would Like You to Hire Him (PHOTOS)

In this tough economy, finding and maintaining employment can be dishearteningly difficult task. No longer is it enough for prospective employees to just hand out stacks of resumes and wait for an invitation to an interview. But if you think the job market is oppressive for you, imagine what it must be like for those hoping to prevail over hundreds of thousands of other candidates in order to fill a very specific niche position – a position like ‘office cat’, for example.

One feline has decided to combat the saturated job market and give himself a strategic advantage by taking his job hunt to the Internet (aka the ‘home field’ of cats). His name is Pierre the cat, and he would like to thank you for considering his application.

A little bit about Pierre: he’s a 7 year old cat who has recently overcome a serious weight problem and is now hoping to obtain gainful employment by advertising his services as an ‘office cat’ on the professional networking site LinkedIn. His transferable skills include the ability to work independently, contribute to a low-stress environment, be friendly (never catty!), and dress to impress in “tuxedo” attire.

“Hello, this is cat.”

Pierre is currently employed as ‘head cat’ at Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation, and comes highly recommended.

You can check out Pierre’s LinkedIn profile here, and consider him for any of your ‘office cat’ needs.
