Bristol Palin Was the Target of a ‘Suspicious Package’

For most people, reality TV shows are a guilty pleasure. We watch them because the drama is exciting, the format is familiar, and the ‘villains’ are so easy to hate. But at the end of the day, they’re just TV shows, and while we may care about the stars for a while, they’re easily replaced when the next big thing comes along.
This is not so for at least one deranged individual, who hates Bristol Palin so much, they sent a threatening package to CBS studios demanding that she be kicked off Dancing with the Stars.
According to TMZ, a package containing a white, powdery substance and a note declaring, “This is what will happen to you if Bristol Palin stays on [the show]” was found on CBS property earlier this week.
It is not clear what the “this” refers to – is the powder supposed to represent anthrax? Is the sender implying that Bristol will develop a crippling cocaine addiction? Will the next package contain a small flask of vinegar, intended to be combined with the white powder to create a miniature volcano? Listen, anonymous letter writer: this is why it’s important to be clear and concise in your writing. Take heed.
The package was sent off to a lab, but Starpulse reports that “experts insisted the powder was not dangerous”. The matter will be investigated further because, well, authorities tend to take threatening packages containing unknown white powder pretty seriously.
This incident mirrors one that occurred in 2010, in which a threatening package containing a note demanding Bristol’s exit from the show was found at CBS. Apparently at least one person out there really doesn’t like Bristol.
Okay, let me rephrase that, because most people out there really don’t like Bristol. At least one person out there really doesn’t like Bristol and is unhinged enough to threaten her with…something. We’re not really sure what. To be determined.
But seriously, Bristol may be a bad dancer and a bad person, but this is in no way okay. Hopefully the creep is found soon so Bristol can get back to being insufferable in peace.
