Demi Lovato sang the National Anthem at Game Four of the World Series last night (Oct. 28th) – and she wore a ring on the ring finger of her left hand! Is she engaged? Fans took to Twitter to say yes, but according to The Huffington Post, there’s no official word on who Demi is even dating right now.

Demi, 20, has previously been linked to Wilmer Valderrama – but earlier this month, she told Teen Vogue that she isn’t currently dating Wilmer, or One Direction singer Niall Horan, or any other dude. “He’s a really awesome, sweet guy,” Lovato said of Niall. “But he’s not my boyfriend…I’m in a place right now where I really need to focus on myself. Obviously, I’m still going to like people — or love them — but I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be OK with being alone, first,” she said.

(Meanwhile, rumors are flying that Niall is dating another girl named Amy Green, anyway.)

Given that Demi is JUST 20 YEARS OLD, I’m glad that the engagement rumors are probably false, and that she was simply wearing a ring on her left hand. Demi is likely annoyed with all the speculation, but she said at the Billboard/THR Film & TV Music Conference that she’s able to use her fame to shine the spotlight on important issues. “Just as much as it sucks to have tabloids writing about you, at the same time I had all these issues and I was able to raise awareness because I came out publicly with those issues and then I have tons of fans that come up and tell me, ‘Oh, I got help with my eating disorder or this because you came out and said it,’” she said. “Had it not been for the publicity and the tabloids or whatever it was, they may not have had a chance to save their own lives.”
