72-Year-Old Grandpa Models Teen Girl Clothes Better Than a Teen Girl Ever Could (PHOTOS)

Just call it “grandpa style.” No, seriously:

Chinese women’s clothing shop Yuekou has launched a fashion series that the China News Service has dubbed “Grandpa Style” – because the outfits are all modeled by 72-year-old grandpa Liu Qianping.

Liu is the grandfather of Ms. Lv, one of the store’s owners, and according to her, the offbeat series of photos came about by accident. Offbeat China reports the septuagenarian was helping his granddaughter unpack her inventory when “he picked up one piece and tried to give some advice on how to mix and match. We thought it was fun so we started shooting.”

That’s right: not only is Liu a natural at the whole modeling thing, he also put a lot of the outfits together himself. An elderly man has better fashion sense than you do. Let that sink in for a minute.

Liu’s unexpected modeling career has had a positive impact not only on our moods, but on Yuekou’s sales as well. In fact, the store’s sales have increased five-fold since the Grandpa Style series came out.

Wondering how the man himself feels about his new found Internet fame? Liu had this to say about his modeling career:

“Why [is it] unacceptable for someone like me to wear women’s clothes? Modeling for the store is helping my granddaughter and I have nothing to lose. We were very happy on the day of the shooting. I’m very old and all that I care about is to be happy.”

What a badass.
